SLED 11-meter USV for U.S. Navy (SLED-36 hull form)

SLED-36

Navatek’s ETM® SLED hull form is optimized for high payload carrying ability. It features twin, large, inverted “V” tunnels for wave entrapment and can employ either waterjets or propellers. In summer 2008, Navatek delivered to the U.S. Navy two, 11-meter, Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV). The USV craft incorporate Navatek’s ETM® SLED hull technology and a command and control system developed by General Dynamics Robotic Systems. They will be carried aboard the Navy’s two new Littoral Combat Ships from which they’ll be deployed for anti-submarine warfare. Navatek’s ETM SLED USV has been featured in national media stories, including NBC-TV and the Los Angeles Times. Navatek ETM SLED craft will soon be available for purchase by other U.S. government agencies through the GSA catalogue, and by allied governments through U.S. foreign military sales programs.
